McCall Wilder Designs
Couture Clothing for Children Chosen for Exclusive Golden Globes
“Boom Boom Room”
for Celebrity Moms
ATLANTA – McCall Wilder Designs, Atlanta’s first couture children’s Boutique and Atelier, was selected by celebrity insider Jayneoni Moore to participate in the 2009 invitation-only “Boom Boom Room” for celebrity parents and the media. The exclusive event, which kicks off the Golden Globes Awards festivities, will be held Friday, January 9, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, January 10, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at The Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel, 2025 Avenue of the Stars, Los Angeles, 90067.
The “Boom Boom Room” is an exclusive gifting event for celebrities and their tots. It is the brainchild of Jayneoni Moore, of Sugar, Sprinkles and Banana Split (sugarsprinklesbananasplit.blogspot.com), a division of The Hollywood Breakfast Club. US Weekly was quoted as saying:"The Boom Boom Room is the place to be during award season, this is the only gifting suite celebrities line up to attend."
The 2008 Boom Boom Room was featured on Entertainment Tonight, Extra, Access Hollywood and in OK Magazine, US Weekly, Intouch and Life & Style. The Boutique & Atelier for McCall Wilder Designs Couture Clothing for Children is located in the heart of Atlanta. Each garment is sewn and embroidered by a local team of talented, dedicated seamstresses (all moms, grandmoms and aunts). The attention to detail, including the exquisite, sustainable fabrics and delicate hand embroideries, is the centerpiece of this beautiful line of custom, special order and ready-to-wear clothing. All outfits are made with the finest European and domestic fabrics and most are embellished with intricate, time-consuming hand work, including satin-stitching, feather-stitching and bullion embroidery.
Designer McCall Wilder has been embroidering and sewing by hand since she was a child in Athens, Ga. (see www.mccallwilder.com for more information). Before opening the Atlanta boutique in Spring 2008, she worked on a word-of-mouth, limited-basis by appointment only from a small home studio. However, Wilder’s client base grew over that 7-year timeframe all the way from the Deep South to Dearborn, Mich. and Chicago to New York City and Washington, D.C. When her youngest finished Kindergarten and began a longer school day, she decided it was time to meet the growing need for beautiful, non-mass produced children’s clothing on a wider basis.
The Boutique & Atelier opened in May 2008 to meet the high-demand for her detailed ready-to-wear, special order and custom-designed couture outfits. Wilder has been featured in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Southern Living, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles and Atlanta Magazine’s HOME among others. In August 2008, author Emily Giffin chose McCall Wilder Designs as one of her “Favorite Things about Atlanta.” She lives with her husband, two children, 3 rescued dogs and Freddie the Fish in Atlanta.
